Our President

Dr. Virginia P. Hayes (FL)

President, Woman’s Auxxiliary

Some lives are measured in titles, but Virginia Hayes must be measured by a faith so steadfast that it impacts  every role she accepts and every person she leaves better equipped for Christian service. As a nationally respected Christian leader, President Hayes does not simply profess her love for Jesus Christ; she lives it.

For 63 unbroken years, Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church in Orlando has been her spiritual home, where she currently serves under the pastorate of Dr. Lantz G. Mills. Over those decades, she has given herself to virtually every ministry the church offers. Where others tend to have a single garden, she has cultivated an entire landscape.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Paralegal Studies from Kaplan University and a Bachelor of Arts from Rollins College and pursued theological studies at International Theological Seminary and Faith Christian University. That  foundation was further honored during the 122nd Annual Session of the Los Angeles District Association, when Kairos Pacific University of Tustin, California, conferred upon her a Doctor of Divinity degree, a distinction that reflects a lifetime of servant leadership.

Her preparation led her to serve as Financial Secretary of the West Coast Baptist Association and Women’s President of the Florida General Baptist Convention. And now, that preparation has found its fullest expression on the national stage. As President of the Woman’s Auxiliary of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc., the nation’s largest historically Black Baptist denomination, she leads women across thousands of congregations under the visionary leadership of Dr. Boise Kimber. She shapes ministry programs, leadership institutes, mission initiatives, and Christian education strategies that reach across generations and state lines.

Those closest to her will tell you that her greatest title is the one she holds at home. She is a devoted mother of four, grandmother of fourteen, and great-grandmother of eight, known as much for her warmth and love of people as for her accomplishments behind any podium.

Virginia P. Hayes is measured in something far greater titles: a legacy of faith, faithfulness, and the generations she has helped set free to flourish in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
