Laymen Movement

Mission

We, the National Baptist Laymen’s Movement, an auxiliary of the National Baptist

oneness of Baptist Men in the Lord Jesus Chris; to promote a Spirit of fellowship,
service and cooperation among its members; to cultivate and transmit the Spirt of
Stewardship.

To serve as fellowship and training of Baptist Men in Mission and other areas needed.
The function of Laymen in the National Baptist Convention USA, Inc.; however, shall not
be limited the National Baptist Laymen’s Movement.

About National Laymen

The Laymen in the church have the task of taking whatever action is necessary and effective to strengthen the church and strengthen brotherhood in relationships in the church, community and in economic and social programs.

Mid-Winter Board Meeting – Laymen President Welcome Message

Michael Washington

President

Greetings to our Laymen Delegates and Supporters—“To God Be the Glory.”
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Mid-Winter Pastor and Church Enrichment Gathering here in the Sunshine State, in the beautiful city of Jacksonville, Florida. We trust that you experienced a blessed and joyful New Year as we prepare to work together in Laymen’s Ministry in 2026.

On behalf of our National Baptist Convention President, Dr. Boise Kimber, we encourage you to fully participate in the Parent Body and Auxiliary sessions throughout this week. Our General Convention theme is “Changing the Course, Not Our Conviction—The Gospel Still Works!” with the 2025–2026 emphasis, “UnShaken: Standing on the Rock in Shifting Times” (Psalm 46:1–3).

We sincerely appreciate the warm hospitality of the Florida General Baptist Laymen and their President, David Howell. Please do not hesitate to let us know if there is anything we can do to assist you during your time with us.

Let us continue to reach out and come together (Hebrews 10:24–25).
